The Northwest Historical Miniature Gaming Society (NHMGS) will host its annual convention, Enfilade 2013, from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th May, at the Red Lion Inn Olympia (Olympia, WA, USA). During the convention, the upcoming game Sails of Glory will have its first playable presentation in the United States. Three sessions and a tournament of WW1 Wings of Glory are also scheduled.
The Sails of Glory preview will be held on Saturday, at 2:00 pm. During the session "Napoleonic Naval Warfare", attendees will have the chance of learning to play the brand new 1:1000 scale naval miniatures game from Ares Games, inspired by the Wings of Glory system.
The first Wings of Glory session is scheduled on Friday 24, at 7:00 pm: "Sink the Emden", a game for 12 players. Allied pilots will attempt to bomb and torpedo the Emden while Axis pilots defend. No experience is necessary and instruction will be provided.
On Saturday 25, at 9:00 am, people attending the event can learn how to play Wings of Glory in the session "Open Flying", flying single seat fighters, two seat scouts and heavy bombers. No experience is necessary and instruction will be provided.
At 2:00 pm, the "Rain Pain on the Train!" event is scheduled - A German supply train is attacked by Entente two-seaters and their escort. Can they destroy the much needed supplies or will German air patrols stop the attack dead in its tracks?
Starting at 4:00 pm on Saturday, the "WW1 Air Tournament" will put the skills of 16 players to test, using basic Wings of Glory rules. Each pair of pilots will use the same type of plane for their battle. The winner will receive prize support provided by Ares Games, including items such as the WW1 Wings of Glory Rules and Accessories Pack and some of the latest Airplane Packs released.
The activities will be hold by the Wings of Glory fans and supporters Bill Hughes, Doug Nolan and Tony Pflanzer. For more information visit the Enfilade 2013 website.
