The War of the Ring players can now get the Treebeard promotional mini-expansion at the BoardGameGeek Store. Buying two items from a selected list of BGG Store promos, a user will receive free of charge the War of the Ring promotional item featuring the eldest Ent - packaged as an individual character card together with the related plastic figure - limited to one per customer

Treebeard can be used when playing the War of the Ring board game, either with or without the Lords of Middle-earth expansion. The character can be recruited in Fangorn by Gandalf, and he is then able to muster the Ents by himself, and raise them against the armies of the Shadow. He can also become involved in battles in the area around Fangorn and in Rohan.

The Treebeard mini-expansion is the first promotional item for War of the Ring, and has been available free to customers through selected promotions - it was given as a freebie to people who purchased the Lords of Middle-earth expansion at the Essen Spiel 2012 (by end of October, in Germany) and at Lucca Comics & Games (early November, in Italy), and now also through the BGG Store.
