Ares Games is back from the largest UK Games Expo to date: over 65,000 visitors in the three days of the show. It was a great occasion to present our new and upcoming games at our stand, with demos running all the time. We are proud to have brought home two UK Games Awards - the 2024 UK Games Expo Judges Choice in the categories "Best Board Game (Strategic)" - Cangaceiros - and "Best Expansion"- War of the Ring The Card Game - Against the Shadow.
Attendees previewed Fire and Swords, the upcoming expansion for War of the Ring - The Card Game, and Altay – Dawn of Civilization, a new game combining deck-building, civilization development, and area expansion. They also had the chance to play several games released over the past year, including Cangaceiros, Pyramidice, and The Rich and The Good, as well as Sword & Sorcery, War of the Ring: The Card Game, and Wings of Glory. Quartermaster General: East Front was demonstrated in an oversized version at our stand.
On Sunday, the Third Battle of Birmingham gathered 42 participants for the large-scale WW1 Wings of Glory game, flying airplane miniatures into combat!
