Enter the world of Barbarian Kingdoms, an asymmetrical and competitive strategy game designed by Christophe Lebrun and published by Jester Games, a new French board game publisher. Barbarian Kingdoms was successfully funded on Gamefound in October 2022, and its retail English edition will be distributed by Ares Games in the US and non-European countries, with an expected release in April 2024.

Barbarian Kingdoms offers a fast-paced, yet deeply strategical and immersive, board game experience, blending conquest, resource management, and historical intrigue. Two to six players assume the roles of leaders of the six most famous barbarian nations - Huns, Ostrogoths, Vandals, Visigoths, Franks, and Anglo-Saxons. They engage in a tumultuous struggle for dominance, guiding their burgeoning kingdoms through the transition from Antiquity to the Middle Ages.
Key strategic actions, such as recruiting warriors, collecting taxes, assaulting provinces, maneuvering units, and claiming territories, are essential in the race to be the first to control seven territories or eliminate two rival kings.
