Against the Shadow: solo/cooperative version for War of the Ring - The Card Game.

Against the Shadow, the awaited solo and cooperative expansion of War of the Ring – The Card Game, is due to release in September 2023, with all-new Shadow cards adapted to use with a simple flowchart, enabling the player(s) to command the Free Peoples against the Shadow bots.

Inspired by Lord of the Rings trilogy, War of the Ring - The Card Game immerses players in the quest of The Lord of the Rings, allowing them to explore their own version of the trilogy, using uniquely designed card decks representing the strengths and weaknesses of the peoples and characters who fought in the War of the Ring. Each player controls one or more of the factions, either on the side of the Free Peoples or of the Shadow Armies. Against the Shadow is the first expansion for the game, bringing solo and cooperative play up to two players, as the Shadow factions are handled automatically, using special decks of cards included in the expansion.

Against the Shadow will be presented to the public for the first time at UK Games Expo 2023 (June 2nd-4th, Birmingham), at Ares Games' stand (1-514), where the base game will be in demo all the time.
