War of the Ring - The Card Game, Ares' new multi-player game inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings trilogy, is due to release in English in December 2022, and will be available in eight more languages in early 2023: Czech, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Spanish, and Ukrainian. Co-published with international partners, these editions are going to the printing press now, and are expected to arrive by February/March 2023. Additional languages are expected to follow later in 2023.

Designed by Ian Brody, creator of the Quartermaster General series, War of the Ring – The Card Game is inspired by our best-selling and award-winning War of the Ring Second Edition, but it's simpler, more portable and more accessible. The game is team-based and asymmetrical: each player controls one or more of the factions of the War of the Ring, either on the side of the Free Peoples or of the Shadow, using a unique deck, reproducing the strengths and weaknesses of the specific factions they play with.

The first printing of the English edition sold out on pre-order and the second printing, due to be available in January 2023, is already in progress. The editions in other languages are mostly coming by publishers of War of the Ring Second Edition in their country: Rexhry (Czech), Nuts! Publishing (French), Devir Italia (Italian), Galakta (Polish), Devir Iberia (Spanish), and Geekach Games (Ukrainian), and by Hobby Japan (Japanese) and MTS Games (Korean).
