Two games published by Nuts! Publishing and distributed in North America by Ares Games start to hit the US stores this week: the card-driven wargame Fitna: Global War in the Middle East and the 2-player strategic block wargame This War Without an Enemy, set during the 17th century English Civil War.
Designed by the French writer and historian Pierre Razoux, a recognized expert on the Middle East, FITNA depicts the military confrontations in the region since 2012 up to the near future. Two to six players can simulate the war against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), the Kurdish Rebellion, and other possible scenarios set in the region, allowing to get a clearer appreciation of the regional balance of power, of the local protagonists’ goals and a real understanding of what is going on in this chaotic area.
This War Without an Enemy is a strongly thematic 2-player game with great innovations to the card-driven block wargame engine, with 5 different scenarios to guarantee a high level of replayability. In the game, one player represents the Royalists forces fighting for King Charles I, and the other player controls the Parliamentarians and their Scottish Covenanter allies, in a struggle for political, economic, and religious control of England.
The reprints of 300: Earth & Water, Mini Rogue, and its expansions Depths of Damnation and Glittering Treasure are also available now.
