Ares Games and Nuts! Publishing announce a new agreement for the distribution of the English edition of Nuts!’ board games in North America and additional territories worldwide - extending the partnership started in 2018 for the French edition of games of War of the Ring line. The first game to launch will be the card driven wargame 300: Earth & Water, due to release to retail in May 2021, followed by the solitaire and two-players coop game Mini Rogue, this Summer.
300: Earth and Water is a wargame for two players, designed by Yasushi Nakaguro. It was first published in 2018 in Japanese language by Bonsai Games, and is now coming in English and French edition by Nuts! Publishing. One player controls the Greeks, gathered around the Athenians, and the other controls the Persians, fighting for the hegemony of the eastern Mediterranean. Through all five expeditions, each player aims to control more cities than their opponent. The rules are simple and the playing time is short, but both Greece and Persia have a wide range of strategies to achieve victory.
Mini Rogue is a “minimalist dungeon crawler” board game in which one or two players delve into a deep dungeon to get a mysterious ruby called the Og's Blood. The players must choose how to spend their resources to be powerful enough to confront ever more difficult monsters and hazards. Randomly generated levels and encounters make every playthrough a unique experience. Designed by Paolo Di Stefano and Gabriel Gendron, Mini Rogue is the extended and improved version of the Rogue-like microgame of the same name which received multiple awards in its print-and-play release. Successfully funded on Kickstarter in June 2020, Mini Rogue will release to retail alongside two expansions - Depths of Damnation and Glittering Treasure.
“We have been cooperating with Nuts! Publishing. "It is also a guarantee of experience and mutual trust to bring out the best of both companies.”
