The Dungeon Time project on Kickstarter ended last night with $32,527 pledged - 650% funded, and 1,277 backers. In 16 days, the crowdfunding campaign for the cooperative real time fantasy card game unlocked 12 stretch goals and a bonus goal, adding new contents and cool accessories. Dungeon Time is expected to release in December 2016.
Dungeon Time's contents initially included 48 Mission cards, 48 Item cards, 8 Hero cards, 24 Reward items, a backpack board, and a sand timer. During the campaign, four new Heroes were added to the Kickstarter edition of the game - including two exclusive Hero cards, the Courtesan and Necromancer, as well four Adventure cards and scrolls - “The Apprentice’s Book”, "The Scroll of Life", "The Family Sword" and "A King's Ransom".
The Kickstarter edition will also have an embossed and foil stamped version of the cover, a score pad to keep track of players' achievements between missions, and a limited edition certificate. Other improvements include a reference card, to provide a handy summary of all the levels and bonus levels in the game campaign, deluxe reward tokens, a deluxe backpack board, a deluxe component tray, and a free 5-minutes downloadable soundtrack.
Ares Games launched two giveaway contests during the contest, on Boardgamegeek and on Facebook. BGG members had the chance to win free copies of the Kickstarter Edition of Dungeon Time or a copy of another Ares Games’ family or card game, chosen between Behind the Throne, Co-mix, Jolly Roger, Quickpick. The BGG contest rallied almost 4,000 participants; the six winners were announced on July 14th.
The other contest run on Facebook and gave to three people a chance to win three Ares' games of their choice (for a maximum value of $ 270 SRP), by going to Ares' Facebook page, commenting on the Contest post, and then sharing it with their friends. The winners will be announced on Monday, July, 18th.
