Co-Mix is an imaginative and fun game. Up to 10 players craft their stories by laying out several cards to create a full blown comic book page, playing individually or in teams. Each player chooses the kind of story to tell – noir, horror, adventure, romance, and if it will be funny, scary, exciting, or moving. All players must create the story based on the same title - the best stories are voted by the other players. The game was designed by Lorenzo Silva, with artwork by Matteo Cremona and Max Rambaldi.
The Academy of Adventure Gaming Arts & Design (AAGAD) is a peer based network of gaming industry professionals to promote innovation and excellence in design and production of games and game related materials. The Origins Awards nominees are voted on by all members of the Academy to determine the winner of each category. The finalists are also voted on by attendees of the Origins Game Fair for the Fan Favorite awards.
Last year, Ares Games won five prizes: Sails of Glory was awarded in the "Best Historical Rules" and "Best Historical Miniatures" (with the second series of Ship Packs), voted as the winner in both categories by the members of the Academy (Critics' Choice) as well as by the public (Fan Favorite), and the Wings of Glory Game Mats received a Critics' Choice award as "Best Game Accessory."
The Origins Game Fair will be held from 15th to 19th June in Columbus, Ohio. For more information, visit the website originsgamefair.com. To see the complete list of the Origins Awards 2016 nominees, click here.
