Ares Games announced today a partnership with Devir Italia to publish and distribute the Italian edition of Ares Games products. The first games to be available through Devir Italia are Jolly Roger, Dino Race and War of the Ring Second Edition. All these new releases will be presented at Lucca Games 2015 (booth E27).
Founded in Brazil in 1987, Devir is a publisher and distributor of games, books and comics, with operations in several countries of Portuguese and Spanish languages, and now also in Italy, where is the distributor of the collectible card games Magic: The Gathering and YuGiOh, as well of Topps Italia products.
The partnership with Ares Games in Italy begins with the Italian edition of the card game Jolly Roger - arriving almost at the same time of the English edition –, the distribution of the family game Dino Race, and the return of the War of the Ring board game. The next game to be released will be the Italian edition of Odissey – Wrath of Poseidon, expected to be available in early 2016.
"Devir friends are our partners from years, and have already published many of our games, in Catalan, Portoghese and Spanish: War of the Ring, The Battle of Five Armies, Inkognito, Dino Race and Sails of Glory. With their arrival in the Italian market, it was a natural evolution of our collaboration to reach an agreement for the publishing rights of some games - new and classic - from our catalog. The partnership starts already with the engagement on four games, but we count it will be extended, along the next year, to other lines, as Wings of Glory and Sails of Glory," said Christoph Cianci, CEO of Ares Games.
"At Devir we choose the best games in the world to publish and set them available for every kind of player we can envisage. From Rio Grande to Tierra del Fuego, from Acapulco to Barcelona, passing by Amazonia and Lisbon, we work to put everyone to play, since 1987. We have always wanted to work in Italy, and now we are finally here, in a country where we were always welcome brotherly, by our friends of Ares and some of our favorite authors", said Rui Santos, general manager of Devir Italia, who will lead the company in Italy together with Luca Turchi, Sales Director.
Devir Italia will be at Lucca Comics and Games, booth E27, Padiglione Carducci. To remain up-to-date, visit the publisher's page on Facebook.
