The nominees for the 2014 Golden Geek Awards have been announced and two games by Ares Games are in the list: Dino Race, for "Best Children's Game", and The Battle of Five Armies, nominated for "Best 2-Player Game", "Best Thematic Game", and "Best Wargame". Voting is open and will close on February 22nd (11:59 PM CST).
The BoardGameGeek Golden Geek Award is presented every year at the BGG.Con event in Dallas, Texas. The winners are selected by the voting of the user community of BoardGameGeek.com website. The 2014 Golden Geek Awards will recognize the best games in three categories: Board Game, RPG and Videogame. The Board Game category includes 15 sub-categories.
Voting is open to BGG supporting users (having a supporter badge from any year is sufficient) or users who pay a one-time 20 GeekGold fee, or who have purchased an avatar.
